Department of discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science was formed in 2006 by merger of Department of discrete mathematics and Department of algebra-logical methods in informatics.
Undergraduate courses include discrete mathematics, algebra, combinatorial optimisation, computer algebra, mathematical logic, theory of algorithms, operations research, coding theory, information security, graph theory, mathematical cybernetics, pattern recognition, combinatorial algorithms and complexity analysis.
Master of Sciences specialisation is “Discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science”.
