The three-day seminar was organized in the framework of cooperation between YSU Alumni and Career Centre and YSU Centre for Gender and Leadership Studies.
During the meetings, via questions and answers and interactive contacts the participants of the seminar studied the skills required for the self-presentation and motivation, which are applied in the process of career building, progress and leadership.
“The seminar participants were selected from the attached to the CVs motivational letters. This method of selection was justified because the students were quite active and interested,” - says the Head of Methodological Division of YSU Public Relations and Information Department Mamikon Tosunyan.
The participants discussed a number of important issues related to the typical features of leader, behavioral styles of leadership, effective communication and self presentation, as well as development of team work skills.
“When I read the announcement about the seminar, I was happy YSU Alumni and Career Centre was going to conduct similar trainings. All the problems discussed were quite relevant for young specialists,” - says the graduate of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture Narek Sardaryan.
The last day of the seminar was devoted to gender issues. Participants hosted lecturer at YSU Faculty of Journalism Astghik Avetisyan, who presented the character of the successful woman on her own example and her achievements.
The seminar participants (25) were not only from YSU, but also represented other universities, including graduates.
At the end of the seminar participants received certificates.
