Today, the delegation of the National Assembly of Kuwait, headed by the President of the NA Ali Fahd Al-Rashid was hosted at YSU.
Welcoming speech was made by YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, who highly appreciated the close relations between our countries, including political, economic, educational and cultural spheres.
“YSU and Kuwait University develop active cooperation. The evidence is that many of our students study inKuwaitin the framework of student exchange program. I am sure that our cooperation will not be limited only to the student exchange program, but will be expanded, including the scientific and research areas,” - said the Rector.
Aram Simonyan awarded the President of the National Assembly of Kuwait Ali Fahd Al-Rashid YSU Commemorative Medal for the great contribution in the development of cooperation between our countries.
Ali Fahd Al-Rashid also welcomed the participants and expressed his gratitude for the reception: “It is a great honor for me to visit YSU. I will be consistent in the process of allocation of investments and scholarships, as today’s generation is our future. I should note that in addition to the scientific potential you have a heavenly country where one can make mutually beneficial investments,” – said the Kuwaiti National Assembly President.
After the speeches, the participants of the meeting asked the guest a number of questions. Representatives of the professorial staff were mainly interested in the scientific and political aspects, and students were interested in the educational opportunities inKuwait. And some of our students expressed their gratitude to the honorable guest, noting that studying inKuwaithas made a great contribution to their personal development.
Ali Fahd Al-Rashid thanked the students in his turn for such warm words: “I am pleased to hear these words. Today, in this warm atmosphere, all these words in pure Arabic language are more than just words of gratitude. Thank you.”
In the end of the meeting Aram Simonyan presented Ali Fahd Al-Rashid an album on the Armenian culture and sites and booklets about YSU. And the latter gave our Rector oil on canvas, as well as Kuwait’s National Costume clothing.
