THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION FOR THE VACANT POSITION OF YSU RECTOR
By decision of the Board of Trustees, the competition will be held on March 23.

Candidates with Doctoral Degree and scientific title of professor can apply.

Applications (original documents) shall  be submitted by 2020 February 12 to March 7, 16: 00-18: 00 (except Saturdays, Sundays and weekends), by hand or by mail to the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Yerevan State University Foundation (Address: RA, 0025 Yerevan, St. Alek Manukyan 1, YSU, Central Building, Office No. 508, Secretary of the Board of Trustees Grigor  Hayrapetyan).

The Rules of Election of the Rector of "Yerevan State University" Foundation establish the procedure for holding a vacant position of YSU Rector, appointing a Rector and concluding an employment contract with him.

STATEMENT OF YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY  ADDRESSED TO INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS REGARDING THE SITUATION CREATED AS A RESULT OF THE BLOCKADE IMPOSED ON THE LACHIN CORRIDOR
Since the morning of December 12th, a group of Azerbaijani civilians disguised as environmentalists have imposed a blockade on the Goris-Stepanakert highway (the Lachin Corridor) which is currently the only route linking Nagorno-Karabakh to the outside world. On top of that, during bitterly cold winter Azerbaijan had shut off natural gas supplies leaving the civilians in the territory without heating for 75 hours.
YSU RECTOR HOVHANNES HOVHANNISYAN AND PRESIDENT OF TIANJIN NORMAL UNIVERSITY ZHONG YINGHUA SIGNED AN COOPERATION AGREEMENT
According to the agreement approved today, the two universities will carry out exchange programs for professors, researchers and students, will exchange scientific, professional literature, periodicals and other materials, will organize joint research programs, conferences and other events.
