YSU DEVOTEES IN ONE BOOK
The book “Lecturers Devotees”, which is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Yerevan State University, was presented to public today.

The presentation of the book, authored by the Lebanese Armenian intellectual, publicist, pedagogue, YSU graduate Paruyr Aghpashyan was organized today at YSU at the initiative of YSU Faculty of Armenian Philology and the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

 

The event was attended by the RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, “Azg” newspaper Chief Editor Hakob Avetikyan, author of the book Paruyr Aghpashyan, as well as his colleagues and fellows.

 

“I am grateful to Mr. Aghpashyan for his great patriotic work. This book includes memories of our pedagogues and documentary evidence,” - said the Dean of the Faculty of Armenian Philology Artsrun Avagyan.

 

Hranush Hakobyan made her speech, too: “Alma Mater and our talented and gifted pedagogues, who are true titans, leave an indelible imprint on the destiny of man.”

 

Head of the Chair of the History of Armenian Literature Professor Samvel Muradyan said: “The book, which tells us about the period of 1964-1970, is unique in its content and form.”

 

 

“Every tutor remains in our memory with his own style and charm, because we are guided by their wisdom when choosing a profession. We are proud that we were their students, we are proud that we are their descendants today, we are proud to continue this march,” - said the book’s author.

 

The book tells us about such bright individuals as Eduard Aghayan, Garnik Ananyan, Hovhannes Barseghyan, Gurgen Sevak, Hrant Tamrazyan Edward Jrbashyan and others are.
