The Compact White Dwarf Binaries International Scientific Conference started in Yerevan today, organized by Professor Gagik Tovmasyan of the Mexican National University.

It should be noted that the conference is held with the support of the Yerevan State University Faculty of Physics.

Valeri Ghambaryan, a lecturer at the University of Vienna, participant in the conference "Developing Planetary Systems around White Dwarfs" delivered a welcoming speech at the event.

Before the presentation, astrophysicist Boris Gänsicke  greeted those present and thanked for the opportunity.

It should be noted that the professor's research is conducted as a result of collaboration between DESI, WEAVE and SDSS-V.

At the end of the report, the professor answered the questions of the participants and informed that the conference would last a week.
