The game-seminar was organized in the framework of cooperation between YSU Faculty of Economics and Management (Chair of Management and Entrepreneurship) and "Armenian Marketing Club" organization.
In the beginning, brief information about the game and winemaking was presented. They spoke about major producers, winemaking products of famous companies, golden medal holders, foreign markets, as well as interesting facts about the Armenian and world wine market.
The third and fourth year students of the Faculty of Economics and Management took part in the game. Throughout the game, participants had to manage their winemaking companies, develop managerial and marketing strategies, trying to get the most out of the profit.
"Through the game, we try to teach not only strategies, but also to introduce some of the features of the winemaking market.
The game is not only an outsourcing event designed to satisfy student lifestyle, but also an educational component which is also very important," - said Karlen Khachatryan, Head of the Chair of Management and Entrepreneurship of YSU Faculty of Economics and Management.
Hrant Ziroyan, member of the board of directors of "Armenian Marketing Association", mentioned that during the preparation of this business game they collaborated with different winemakers, collecting information so that the game was as close as possible to real conditions. By the average, the numbers are quite close to the reality.
Mariam Martirosyan, a 4th-year student of this faculty won in the business game.
At the end of the game, Karlen Khachatryan and Hrant Ziroyan spoke about students' failures that they had noticed during the game, clarifying the "traps" encountered by the students during the game.
