CHARLOTTE CHORUS PERFORMED AT YSU
On April 26, chorus “Charlotte” performed at YSU in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

As we had already informed, chorus “Charlotte” was in Armenia at the invitation of YSU on April 25-30.

After the performance at Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex on April 26, the choruse performed at YSU. The concert program includes works of classical and spiritual music by Armenian and foreign composers.

Choir member Sylvie Gefen said they are here to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide: “We share your sorrow. We must unite and not allow similar genocides ever again.”

The director of YSU Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan is the coordinator of the activities of the chorus in the RA. She stated that within the framework of the tour chorus will perform at Komitas Chamber Music Hall and Ijevan House of Culture. She said that there are scheduled visits to cultural centers, too.

Chorus Charlotte from Tel Aviv was created by Eli Gefen in 1990. It has gained a reputation owing to its wide repertoire that includes classical and spiritual music.
