YSU Rector welcomed the guests and presented the history of the university, research centers, institutes, as well as collaboration with foreign universities. He highlighted the friendly relations between the two countries, which will contribute to further strengthening of cooperation.
Mr. Simonyan presented the main activities in the areas of nanotechnology, what the problems are, and what are the main challenges. However, Mr. Simonyan believes that periodic discussions and mutual visits will bring new ways of cooperation between educational institutions of both countries.
Then the Secretary General of Nano-Technologies Initiatives of Iran, Professor Saeed Sarkari spoke about their successes and scientific achievements. He noted that they have nanotechnology research centers, which provide the performance and professional potential: “Our professors and students attend vocational training workshops; we invite foreign experts to deliver lectures. I think this all we can arrange together.”
The guests expressed their wish to get acquainted with the Armenian scientists and establish business contacts. YSU is going to enter into close cooperation with leading scientific and research organizations in the field of Nano-Technologies of Iran.
Then guests visited the laboratories of the faculties of Physics and Radiophysics, made proposals and answered questions.
