Today, YSU Rector Aram Simonyan hosted the representatives of the University of Bonn (Germany) Ulf Maynsner, Akaki Rusetsky, Siegen University professor Alexander Khojamiryan and Mirian Tabidze from Tbilisi State University. The meeting was aimed at the discussion of the scientific cooperation.
By the way, scientists have arrived a few days ago to participate in the “High-energy physics and quantum field theory” 2nd Summer School (August 20-23), which was organized by YSU Faculty of Physics. More than 50 participants from Russia, USA, Italy, Chile, France, Spain, Iran, Turkey and others participated in it.
Today’s meeting laid the foundation for cooperation in the field of theoretical physics, which includes joint work on Master and PhD levels, as well as scientific researches. The project will include German, Armenian and Georgian universities and research centers.
“There are serious researchers at YSU who will do their best to show good results in the process of cooperation with your specialists in this field,” - said Mr. Simonyan, adding there is quite a difficult job to do, given the seriousness of the programs.
Tomorrow they will start the conference “Quantum aspects of black holes.” It is organized by the joint Laboratory of YSU and Yerevan Physics Institute, as well as the International Centre for Physics in Italy. This conference, as well as the above mentioned summer school are organized with the support of “Volkswagen” Foundation.
“Our conferences, held in previous years, have become the basis for the establishing new contacts and joint work between scientists. Now people also try to involve other people in their universities and create new perspectives,” - says the Co-director of the above mentioned laboratory Armen Nersisyan.
