The meeting was attended by vice-rectors Alexander Grigoryan, Gegham Gevorgyan, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics Vahram Dumanyan, representatives of the professorial staff and the company “Armenian programs.”
Rector Aram Simonyan said he is satisfied with the cooperation between the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of Yerevan State University and the company “Armenian Programs”.
“We are aware that to fill the gaps between the university and the labor market considerable work should be done and therefore such meetings and the signing of the agreement is very important. The university alone cannot solve the problems related to the education of students and training of specialists, so cooperation is welcome,” - said Aram Simonyan.
The founder of the company Ashot Khachatryan noted that in the field of computer programming development is quite rapid, and the university studies should correspond to these changes.
“This cooperation is beneficial for both the university and the employer. That is why we have been negotiating with the representatives of several companies that have expressed their willingness to be involved in the process,” - said Ashot Khachatryan.
Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics Vahram Dumanyan added that cooperation with the company “Armenian programs” has already begun and the new curricula will be ready by the beginning of 2016-2017 academic year.
