Rector Aram Simonyan hosted the delegation of Franche-Comte University, led by the President Nicolas Sheyle. The delegation included Professor Claude Leroy, Head of Education Internationalization Programs Evgenia Pashayan-Leroy.
YSU vice-rectors Alexander Grigoryan and Gegham Gevorgyan, Head of International Cooperation Office Alexander Markarov, deans of the faculties of natural sciences Vahram Dumanyan, Emil Gevorgyan, Tariel Ghochikyan, Roland Avagyan and Head of Information Technologies Research and Education Center Samvel Shukuryan were present at the meeting.
Aram Simonyan presented YSU academic process, international cooperation, as well as the main directions and prospects of the development.
"We attach importance to the expansion of scientific cooperation with leading foreign universities. I am sure that the agreements reached today will be implemented by joint efforts," - said YSU Rector.
Nicolas Sheyle thanked for the warm reception and briefly presented the structure of the French university, the methodology of the educational process, the research orientation and the international cooperation, particularly highlighting the cooperation with YSU.
"Franche-Comte University is at the crucial stage of its development, by constantly improving and adapting educational and scientific programs to the challenges of time," - said Nicolas Sheyle and added that there are brilliant Armenian students at their HEI.
Then our side presented its partners the most successful international educational projects.
After the meeting, the sides exchanged souvenirs and reached a preliminary agreement to activate practical steps to implement joint programs.
