The meeting was attended by Vice-rector on Educational Affairs Alexander Grigoryan, Vice-rector on Scientific Policy and International Cooperation Gegham Gevorgyan and the Head of International Cooperation Office Alexander Markarov.
YSU Rector highly assessed the cooperation between YSU and the DAAD, emphasized that this cooperation is beneficial and promising.
“It should be noted that the cooperation with our German partners is essential to YSU. It includes spheres of humanities, as well as scientific cooperation. I hope that our cooperation will expand, including other spheres,” - said Aram Simonyan.
Sylvia Schmidt noted that almost all employees of the Yerevan Office of DAAD consider the cooperation with the Armenian side as an effective one; they have a rather high opinion about the Armenian students.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached on cooperation with the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology in order to promote the German language.
“I am glad I have the opportunity to communicate with my Armenian colleagues. It would be a great honor for me to be involved in the ongoing educational programs. I am sure that our cooperation will continue to be effective,” - said the guest.
At the end of the meeting the sides exchanged souvenirs.
