15 lecturers/professors representing YSU faculty of Sociology attended the training. During the five-day intensive course, the importance and capabilities of active learning, goals and ways of implementing were discussed.
The participants learned the role and effectiveness of active learning in teaching, the possibilities and methods of mobile device use, as well as got acquainted to the innovative teaching methods and special tools used in teaching, QR code preparation methods, various digital applications and programs Canva, Slido, Mentimeter, Socrative, Kahoot, Adobe Sparc Video, etc., the use of which makes learning more interesting, memorable and instructable for the listeners, the advantages and limitations of using these techniques were discussed.
Participants of the training course independently tested the suggested methods, performed tasks using various applications, developed quizzes and tests using Slido and Kahoot programs, infographics and booklets, Canva software, short film production with Adobe Spark Video, and developed their training programs (fragments) using gamification and presented them in PechaKucha format.

By the decision of YSU Acting Rector Gegham Gevorgyan, from March 15 the educational process will be carried out with all YSU educational programs. Anti-epidemic rules will be observed.
One of the winners of the "Best Student 2020" competition organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia is Gor Galstyan, a student of YSU Faculty of Theology.
