The head of the Chair of Cartography and Geomorphology of the Faculty of Geography and Geology Petros Davtyan, representatives of the department and students were present at the event.
Dr. Vincent Olivier has been conducting research in Armenia for 17 years studying changes occurred as a result of human activity or climate conditions.
Greeting those present Dr. Olivier stressed that his activity is possible due to “ERASMUS+” program.
Presenting the results of his many-year research he attached importance to the participation of the lecturer of the Chair of Cartography and Geomorphology Samvel Nahapetyan and the senior researcher of the RA NAS Institute of Archaeology Roman Hovsepyan in the studies and innovations.
The speaker referred to the lake and volcanic sediments in Syunik and Aragatsotn as well as to the countries with rich hydro-technical structures among which are Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
