Final sessions of the councils of YSU faculties started last months. Each faculty first holds discussions at the chairs, estimating their overall work and then dean makes report on the activities, achievements in the period of one year.
Faculty Council members estimate the work of the dean and the faculty in general, come up with proposals and focus on the existing problems.
YSU Rector and Vice-Rectors also attended these sessions.
YSU Vice-rector on Students, Alumni and Public Relations Ruben Markosyan was present at the final session of his native faculty - YSU Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics.
Dean Vahram Dumanyan presented the activities of the previous academic via certain numerical data. He also focused on the educational and scientific activities, noting not only the achievements, but also shortcomings.
Then the members of Council assessed the work of the dean and the faculty as positive.
YSU Rector Aram Simonyan also made the overall evaluation of the activities of this faculty and professorial staff. He also spoke about the issues, raised by students. Then YSU Rector gave detailed answers to the questions, asked by the members of Council.
It should be noted that reports of all the deans made during analogous sessions of councils, were assessed as positive.
