YSU PARTICIPATED IN THE “FAIR OF PROFESSIONS”
Yerevan State University had its own pavilion at the “Fair of Professions”.

On May 25, “Millennium Educational Research Association” NGO and International Relief and Development Organization “World Vision Armenia” organized this fair at the House of Culture of Talin (Aragatsotn Province) with the participation of over 15 organizations.

 

The participation of YSU was provided by Pre-University Education Department and Alumni and Career Centre.

 

The aim of the fair was to introduce high school pupils of Talin and surrounding communities the opportunities, provided by higher educational institutions and help them in choosing the right profession.

 

YSU presented at this fair booklets, books, guidelines for applicants. Expert at the Division on the Affairs with Entrants of YSU Pre-University Education Department Satenik Abrahamyan answered various questions asked by the visitors. The schoolchildren were mainly interested in the areas of law, journalism, economy and English language and literature.

 

9th form pupil Mariam Sargsyan has already decided to enter the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, as she is sure YSU provides with wider range of opportunities.

 

During the event, pupils also attended lectures on agriculture, tourism and IT. The program is continuous in its nature. Similar fairs will be organized in different cities.

YEREVAN STATE UNIVERSITY HOSTED STUDENTS FROM THE MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Within the framework of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) International Science and Technology Initiative (MISTI) Global Teaching Labs (GTL) program Yerevan State University (YSU) hosted three students back in January this year for the first time. MIT students Yu Jing Chen, Anne Snyder, and Sean Zhang taught three different subjects and held hands-on workshops for YSU students.
