THE SPIRIT OF FRENCH MOVIE AT YSU
THE SPIRIT OF FRENCH MOVIE AT YSU
The film “Priceless” was shown at YSU Cultural Centre today.

The screening was organized within the Francophonie Days by the Movie Club of YSU Cultural Centre and the National Cinema Center of Armenia.

Before the screening of the film by Pierre Salvadori opening remarks were made by the Director of the Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan, representatives of the National Cinema Center of Armenia Ashot Hambardzumyan and Nune Galstyan. They noted that the selected films are internationally recognized and help young people to feel the pulse of the world cinema.

This film is an interesting love story in a romantic comedy genre. The main characters in the film are performed by Audrey Tautou and Gad Elmaleh.

Jean (Gad Elmaleh), a waiter/barman at a luxury hotel, is mistaken to be a millionaire by Irene (Audrey Tautou), a gold digger who convinces wealthy men to fund her lavish lifestyle in exchange for companionship and sex. Irene's elderly lover gets drunk and falls asleep on her birthday, so she goes to the bar in the hotel where she and Jean meet. After making her several impressive cocktails, they retire, tipsy, to the hotel's Imperial suite where they spend the night together. In the morning, Jean awakens to find Irene has gone.

The screening was followed by the discussion of the movie.
