VICTORY IN THE NOMINATION “BEST ARTISTRY”
Soloists of YSU Cultural Centre took part in the annual French Song Festival.

On April 20 the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University with the support of the French Embassy in Armenia organized the festival of French song within the framework of Francophonie Days.

 

The annual festival was attended by a number of universities. YSU was represented here by the soloists of the Cultural Centre Maritza Tilikyan, Gayane Tadevosyan and Elen Tonoyan.

 

Maritza Tilikyan who performed the song “Mademoiselle chante le blues” won in the category “Best Artistry”.

 

“This was the fifth edition of the festival and the members of our Cultural Centre receive prizes in different categories each time,” - said Karine Davtyan.

 

Karine Davtyan noted that although the festival is very popular among students and in general, however, it is necessary to ensure a high level of professionalism and to develop new approaches.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
