IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF A NEW COLLABORATION
YSU Student Council regular meeting was held in YSU Ijevan branch.

On November 27 members of the presidency of YSU Student Council visited Ijevan branch of Yerevan State University. First of all they met with students and Director of the Branch Samvel Arakelyan, discussed several issues of interest to students and tried to strengthen the cooperation between central and branch student bodies.

As a long time there were no representatives of Ijevan branch in the presidency, which, in my opinion, is a big omission, we have tried to correct the error. Elections were held in all courses. 2 members were elected for the presidency, who promised to attend all the meetings, - said the Chairman of YSU Student Council Tsolak Akopyan.

During the meeting with local students a number of issues were raised: in particular, issues of improving the quality of education. And most of all students were concerned about the statement of the Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan on the stipends [payment cease.

In response the presidency of Student Council noted that on December 4 will convene a meeting and a letter will be sent to Mr. Minister, containing all the standpoints of students on this occasion. The comments of Ijevan branch students will also be included in this letter.

Then Ijevan branch students escorted the Yerevan delegation to Makaravank, showed them local historical and cultural monuments.

As the initiators mention, as a result of the meeting there was formed a new collaboration on the welfare of our studentship.
