During the session held on January 22, referring to the suggestion of the SC Chairman David Apoyan to have a meeting with students and communicate with them, Gevorg Muradyan expressed willingness to hold meetings with students periodically.
Turning to the students representing faculties Gevorg Muradyan asked about their problems. Touching upon the knowledge provided by the university, Gevorg Muradyan stressed the necessity of bringing knowledge into practice as employers are not satisfied with solely academic knowledge. He emphasized that it’s vital to develop educational programs to provide students with complete practical knowledge.
Discussing the availability of education at YSU students expressed opinions about the relation between price and quality. In comparison with the price the quality of knowledge was mainly considered satisfactory. Gevorg Muradyan noted in this regard that the demands of students are not well-formulated, and they must claim not satisfactory but high-quality education.
The members of the SC presidium presented the main problems of students’ concern. Among them are the insufficient quantity of literature in Armenian, problems with the terms of tuition fees.
At the end of the discussion Mr. Muradyan mentioned that all his decisions will be maximally objective and won’t deal with any political orientation and promised to hold such meetings more regularly.

The simulation game-competition "National Assembly Model" organized by the Student Council of the Faculty of International Relations took place in the meeting hall of the YSU Academic Council, during which the student-deputies divided into three factions presented their plans for the development of Armenia. The game ended with the victory of the "Republican" party.
