The event entitled Russia-Armenia Poetic Crossroad was organized by the lecturer from the above mentioned faculty Yulia Khojoyan and assistant from the Chair of Russian Literature Tatevik Harutyunyan.
Poems dedicated to Russia and Armenia will be recited, and it will witness about the real and sincere friendship of our nations and our spiritual closeness,- this thought was expressed in the opening speech of the event.
At first the poems created by Russian poets dedicated to Armenia were recited and then the word of Armenian writers about Russia and Russian culture was preformed.
Dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology Pavel Balayan mentioned that this is a unique tradition to celebrate the Day of Victory in such a way.
During this poetic crossroad there were presented works by Russian and Armenian writers such as V. Bryusov, S.Gorodevsky, B. Slutsky, V.Zvyagintsova. Ye.Charents, S.Kaputikyan, Av.Isahakyan.
One could also enjoy Armenian and Russian variants of some poems by Toumanyan, Isahakyan and Charents.
The managerial staff mentioned that despite the fact that the participants were generally beginners, the expected result was satisfactory.
In the end dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology Pavel Balayan congratulated all the participants and on behalf of the faculty awarded them with Diplomas. Six participants got monetary awards provided by the Foundation after Valery Kocharyan.

A literary composition based on the works of the modern poet, and literary critic, YSU professor Henrik Edoyan was presented at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
