Director of the Institute of Physics of Kazan Federal University Albert Aganov had also traveled to Armenia to meet with his Armenian colleagues. Guests were welcomed by YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, who noted about the long-term cooperation between YSU and Kazan Federal University, and, of course, it will be developed.
“Institute of Physics of Kazan Federal University is one of the leading research institutions in the Russian Federation, and our cooperation can significantly affect the scientific development of Yerevan State University,” - said YSU Rector.
Aram Simonyan said that YSU is interested in developing cooperation not only in the natural sciences: special attention will be paid to the sector of humanities.
Albert Aganov expressed his gratitude for the reception and said that he is familiar with the Armenian scientific potential from the Soviet era, and therefore cooperation with Armenia, in particular with YSU, is very important for their university.
“I should note that we are informed of the developments and results of the research affairs in the countries of the former USSR. And we know that the Armenian scientific thought is not exhausted, Armenian scientists, as well as the younger generation have numerous achievements and trends in the development,” - said Albert Aganov.
Then, employee at the Institute of Physics of Kazan Federal University presented the fields of education, science, culture, student life, as well as future programs aimed at the development via slideshow.
By the way, the Director of the Institute of Physics of Kazan Federal University Albert Aganov has Armenian roots: his father is from Karabakh.
