MEDAL FOR HAYK SARGSYAN
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Yerevan State University Hayk Sargsyan was awarded the Fridtjof Nansen Commemorative Medal.

Today, Fridtjof Nansen Commemorative Medal was handed Doctor of Economics, Professor Hayk Sargsyan.


Dean of the Faculty of History Edik Minasyan, President of the Fridtjof Nansen Foundation of Armenia Felix Bakhchinyan, representatives of professorial staff and students were present at the event.


“Norwegian polar explorer, scientist, diplomat Fridtjof Nansen was one of the first who helped selflessly hundreds of thousands of Armenians who survived the genocide. And today, on the birthday of the great humanist Fridtjof Nansen, in the room named after him, we have the honor to award scientist and brilliant teacher Hayk Sargsyan, whose scientific-pedagogical career is exemplary for many,” - said Edik Minasyan.


Professor of the Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations Grigor Gharibyan presented the scientific career of Hayk Sargsyan and underlined that Fridtjof Nansen Medal is an inspiring and at the same time oblivious reward.


Then, Felix Bakhchinyan handed Hayk Sargsyan the medal of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Fridtjof Nansen for his work on establishing public-political, humanitarian principles and condemning the Armenian Genocide.


“I thank everyone for the warm words and best wishes. I do not consider my scientific-pedagogical career to be over, moreover, I want to emphasize that from now on I will continue working with new zeal, using my scientific potential to serve YSU and the country’s prosperity,” - said Hayk Sargsyan.
