THE NATIONAL SPIRIT OF YSU STUDENTS
On May 11, within the subject “PR Practicum” at the Faculty of Sociology, a group of university students organized the event called “National Character.”

During the event, a show of national costumes was held, and the “Dzhangyulum” holyday was presented via song, dance and play. It was carried out by “Teryan” cultural center, "Relic" Folk Song and Dance Ensemble and YSU Student Council.

According to the organizers, the main objective of the event was to raise the level of recognition of national identity among students, as well as national holidays and costumes.

Lilit Melikyan, director of “Teryan” cultural center had accepted the offer of cooperation with great pleasure. She stated that the event featured only a small part of their clothing – only 12 samples from more than 200 available, because they are taking part in different exhibitions simultaneously.

Then she spoke of the importance of costume and its individual components. During the event, national songs and dances, games were performed by the Folk Song and Dance Ensemble “Relic”.

The organizers were wearing clothes made by "Teryan" cultural center.
