PHARMACOLOGY FIELD HAS MAJOR TRENDS FOR DEVELOPMENT
The solemn opening ceremony of a number of scientific-educational laboratories was held at the Faculty of Pharmacology and Chemistry today.

2 research and 8 educational laboratories are equipped with modern laboratory equipment, furniture and appropriate technique.

The opening ceremony was attended by YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, vice-rectors, lecturers and students of the faculty, as well as representatives of partner companies in the field of pharmacology.

YSU management, RA MES State Committee of Science and benefactors provided financial means for the equipment, costing more than 83 million AMD. It will not only help to carry out high-level educational programs, but also entrepreneurial activities.

“To have at our disposal such equipped laboratories, we can say it was a dream, and today I am very happy that our dream has become a reality. I can say that in the near future this will become a new standard of quality not only for YSU, but also for the field of the Armenian pharmacology,” – said YSU Rector Aram Simonyan.

Laboratories upgrading process started 1.5 years ago. As a result, students of the Faculty of Pharmacology and Chemistry will have an opportunity to undertake complex researches and prepare medicines individually, etc.

“There are no other Armenian, regional and Russian university laboratories with such equipment. So, this is a great achievement not just for YSU, but the entire national pharmaceutical sector,” - said Head of Chair of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy Ashot Saghyan.
