YSU REPRESENTATIVES ARE AMONG THE MOST ACTIVE SCIENTISTS
About ¼-in of specialists and major part of the coordinators of the Young Scientists Support Program are the representatives of YSU.

Recently, the results and achievements of the above mentioned program, which has been active in the period of the last 5 years, were presented. The winners were awarded the President’s Certificate of Appreciation. Three of the managerial body of the project, who received awards, currently work and develop their research activities at YSU.

 

The awards went to the Head of Chair of Management and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Economics and Management Karlen Khachatryan, who is also the secretary responsible of the managerial body of the program, Researcher at the Chair of Zoology of the Faculty of Biology Sargis Aghayan and Junior Researcher at the Research Institute of Biology Harutyun Sargsyan.

 

Report of the Young Scientists Support Program includes 8 main directions: international scientific trips for young scientists, conferences, symposia, provision of financial support to seminars, research grants, provision of financial support for the publication of books, research equipment and / or materials acquisition, provision of financial support for young scientists to publish scientific articles in the journals with impact factor, organization of the scientific article, as well as lectures by the scientists of Armenian origin.

 

 

“During these 5 years we and our supporters have consistently tried to break the stereotypes about young scientists, tried to make the young scientist not feel neglected, but feel the attention and care of the head of state. Already, considerable work has been undertaken. Armenian youth intensively publishes papers in the international prestigious journals,” - said Karlen Khachatryan.

 

In 5 years, 48 laboratories have received grants to obtain new equipment, 49 research groups composed of the representatives of youth have received grants, 82 conferences and scientific schools have been organized, 382 young researchers have attended conferences abroad, 337 have published articles in the international journals.
