RAFAYEL BARKHUDARYAN HAS BEEN APPOINTED YSU VICE-RECTOR FOR NATURAL AND EXACT SCIENCES
By the decision of YSU acting Rector Gegham Gevorgyan, the previous director of the RA NAS Institute of Mathematics, YSU Assistant Rafayel Barkhudaryan has been appointed Vice-Rector for Natural and Exact Sciences of “Yerevan State University” foundation.

Rafayel Barkhudaryan graduated from YSU Faculty of Mathematics, in 2004-2007 studied and post-graduated from the RA NAS Institute of Mathematics. In 2007 got PhD for “Convergence acceleration of expansions by eigenfunctions of some boundary problems”.

In 200-2005 R. Barkhudaryan worked at “Boomerang Software” company as a programmer. In 2004-2007 was a junior researcher at Institute of Mathematics, in 2005-2007- a lecturer at the Chair of Theory of Optimal Control and Approximate Methods of YSU. In 2007-2011 he was Scientific Secretary of Institute of Mathematics, and in 2011-2014 was vice-director of the institute.

In 201402019 R. Barkhudaryan led the RA NAS Institute of Mathematics. R. Barkudaryan is an Assistant at the Chair of Mathematics of YSU. His scientific interests cover Pade approximations, numerical analysis, parallel processing, scientific computing. He participated in a number of professional trainings and grant programs.

He is a member of the Scientific Council of Institute of Mathematics, member of editorial board of “Armenian Journal of Mathematics. He is also a member of the Armenian Mathematical Union, European Mathematical Union and American Mathematical Journal.
