“RETRO-YEREVAN” AT YSU CULTURAL CENTER
“RETRO-YEREVAN” AT YSU CULTURAL CENTER
”Retro-Yerevan” concert dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation was held at YSU Cultural Center.

It should be reminded that prior to the 100th anniversary of YSU foundation the Cultural Center initiated a retro concert comprised of three parts. The start was given the previous year with the retro-concert “Favourite songs from popular films”.

The idea of the concert belonged to YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, the director of the stage is the director of Cultural Center Karine Davtyan and the cast is the students of the center.

YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, YSU Scientific Secretary Menua Soghomonyan, the director of YSU Publishing House Karen Grigoryan, the Dean of the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology Samvel Abrahamyan, the head of N1 Chair of English Philology Margarita Apresyan, the composer, Armenian jazzman, the people’s Artist of the RA Martin Vardazaryan, painter Ashot Hambardzumyan were present at the event.

A meeting with Armenian composer, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mansuryan took place at YSU Charles Aznavour Culture Center, during which university rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented the maestro with YSU gold medal.
