SKILLS REQUIRED IN ANY FIELD
Today Alumni and Career Centre of Yerevan State University organized a workshop “Team work and management.”

First of all, the participants were welcomed by the employee of the Centre Armine Hajatyan who wished them success.

 

The workshop was conducted by the experts of the psychological centre “Goy” a social psychologist Susanna Avetisyan and organizational psychologist, trainer Varduhi Margaryan.

 

“Our centre provides psychological services, conducts numerous seminars and workshops, and conducts programs in which mostly young people are involved. I think in future you will be able to participate in our programs, acquiring professional skills,” - said Susanna Avetisyan.

 

The course included a number of topics of team work and management: leadership and team building, team structure, management of teamwork, a leader’s personality, management style, etc.

 

“The topic is very interesting, because in any field one needs certain skills of teamwork, and I believe that I will get the necessary information,” - said 4th year student of the Faculty of Sociology Siranush Mkhitaryan.

 

The topic of the seminar brought students from different faculties: the participants were from the faculties of Sociology, Philosophy and Psychology, Economics and Management, Mathematics and Mechanics, Physics, Romance and Germanic Philology, Armenian Philology, Theology.

Within the framework of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) International Science and Technology Initiative (MISTI) Global Teaching Labs (GTL) program Yerevan State University (YSU) hosted three students back in January this year for the first time. MIT students Yu Jing Chen, Anne Snyder, and Sean Zhang taught three different subjects and held hands-on workshops for YSU students.
