The visit of the winners of the All-Russian Accelerator of Social Initiatives (RAISE) competition, organized by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Service at the RF President, was held in Armenia on July 2-8.
The Social Initiatives Accelerator aims to support social initiatives and student initiatives aimed at building civil society. In the end of the accelerator phase, Moscow will host final events and the winning team selected by the jury will be awarded with a foreign exchange visit.
This year, the RAISE delegation was headed by the Director of the Center for Academic Educational Initiatives at the Strategic Initiatives and Organizational Development Institute of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Service, Candidate of Sociological Sciences Inna Gaziyeva. The delegation included representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod Management Institute of this academy, the Ural Institute of Management and the Kirov Branch.
The guests participated in the discussion on social entrepreneurship organized at the RA Ministry of Economy, visited the Association of Social Entrepreneurs of Armenia, social projects incubator, as well as social enterprises.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation also had a meeting at YSU Entrepreneurship Development Centre, was introduced to the activities of ISTC Centre at YSU. YSU Vice-rector Ruben Markosyan also presented our guests initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, discussed the peculiarities of student entrepreneurship in the post-Soviet space, in particular, the development of social entrepreneurship, as well as the possibilities of interuniversity cooperation.
