This year Saint Sargis is marked on February 16.

On the initiative of YSU Cultural Centre, the Youth Blessing Feast was marked on the eve of the feast.

The ritual ceremony of Youth Blessing was held in the Cultural Centre due to the efforts of the students, employees and the director of the centre.

The director of the centre Karine Davtyan informed that they had always marked Tiar’ndaraj or Candlemas feast, burnt a fire and jumped over it but this year they decided to make Saint Sargis day the main event of the feast.

At the end of the event those present got salty flatbread eating which before going to bed by unmarried young people is a ritual of this feast.
