YSU STUDENTS VISITED RA NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
At the initiative of YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, master students of the Chair of Management and Business visited the RA National Assembly.

The Chair of Management and Business has started collaborating with various state agencies and private companies to combine academic knowledge with the transfer of practical skills.

The first visit started from the National Assembly. Head of the Chair of Management and Business Karlen Khachatryan, Associate Professors Nona Khachatryan, Anna Hakobjanyan and Anna Mkrtchyan also visited the NA with the Master’s Degree students of YSU Faculty of Economics and Management.

At the beginning of the visit the representative of the National Assembly staff presented students the history of the NA building, its architecture, the structure of the National Assembly, the proportionality of the political forces, the committees and so on.

About 30 masters participated at the plenary session of the National Assembly, where the RA draft law “On the 2018 State Budget of the Republic of Armenia” was discussed.

Then the university students met with RA NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov. The meeting was held in a question and answer format. Various themes were discussed. The questions mainly concerned the issues of economics, the tax code, the 2018 draft of budget, the relations between the Republic of Armenia and the EEU and the EU. The NA Vice President answered all the questions, urging students to actively participate in the processes of public-political and state-building.

Head of the Chair of Management and Business, Karlen Khachatryan, said that these are professional discussions, and it is important that students communicate with state officials.

“We expect the program to be continuous. This is part of the chair’s policy. We try to convey the students with some practical skills apart from academic knowledge, including the experience and knowledge of the sector’s representatives,” - added Karlen Khachatryan.
