The purpose of the event organized by YSU Cultural Centre is to give students knowledge about the world of art through various activities.

Within the framework of the "Cultural Education" program, merited cultural figures, theater experts, actors, artists are invited to YSU. Master classes, lectures on culture, film screenings and discussions, visits to cultural institutions are organized.

A lecture on the theme "Armenian poetry as a value" was delivered by Honored Artist Samvel Baghinyan. He introduced the students to the peculiarities of correct reading of poems. Mr. Baghinyan highlighted Armenian classical poetry and, in particular, the beloved poet Yegishe Charents. This year marks his 120th anniversary of birth. According to the actor, Charents was able to raise questions in his works for the rage of the day.

Director of the Cultural Centre Karine Davtyan told us in an interview that the first stage of the program was held last year. Inspired by the success, they decided to start the second one: "The program will continue. Despite the fact that students of social sciences and humanities faculties are most active, there are students of natural science faculties among the participants of the program."

It should be noted that the honored artist of Armenia Anna Harutyunyan, the candidate of art criticism, director of the "Teryan" Culture Center Lilit Melikyan and the artist Anush Babayan have already delivered lectures for students. There will be also a meeting with the Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Narek Duryan.

The program "Cultural Education" will be completed in May. And the most active participants will receive certificates.
