She is one of the winners of the Painters Contest, held by YSU Cultural Center. The contest was headed Native country, my dream. Three nominations were available: photography, painting and graphite. Anahit was the winner of the graphite nomination.
This event is two years old. Karine Davtyan, Director of YSU Cultural Center says that last year it was dedicated to the independence of Armenia, and this year- Motherland.
Head of jury, President of Union of Young Painters Anna Harutyunyan, states that it is hard to find new ideas because of the lack of contestants. And the students must pay more attention to the quality of the works, presented by them.
That is the reason why nobody was awarded first prize in the nomination of photography, for them to work harder next year,-said Shaka Troyan, expert on photo works, Associate Professor from the Chair of Photography of the Faculty of Culture of YSPU.
Last year graphite was presented next to new building of YSU Armenian Philology Faculty. This year the aisle of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics will serve as a canvas for this initiative.
According to K.Davtyan this event is expected in 10 days.
