Dean Roland Avagyan and Deputy Dean Levon Aslanyan welcomed the pupils, who visited YSU at the initiative of the Department of Pre-University Education.
“We must present the sense of this science to schoolchildren. The most natural and spectacular is the optics, that is why we focus on this branch, having spoken about the structure of our faculty, mentioning about a number of interesting phenomena, showing everything that is possible,” - said Levon Aslanyan.
Arthur Kirakosyan, lecturer at the Chair of Optics, also showed the faculty’s equipment and answered various questions.
Stepanakert high school pupil Stepan Hambardzumyan is interested in physics and wants to continue his studies in Yerevan: “I saw the new equipment. Here we saw what we do not do at school. The meeting was interesting, the information - necessary.”
