THE WINNERS ARE FUTURE PHILOLOGISTS
THE WINNERS ARE FUTURE PHILOLOGISTS
On the 18th of December the results of Contest of Young Creators were summarized in the hall of the new building of the Faculty of Philology.

The students from about all the faculties took part in this Contest, which was organized by YSU Culture Center. The staff of jury headed by the President of The Writers Union of the RA Levon Ananyan had chosen 6 prose and poetry works from 50 proposed.

Only the fact that 6-8 works can be chosen from all the proposed, where one can see the way the author thinks and writes, is quite inspiring, - said one of the members of jury, Doctor of Philology, Professor, YSU lecturer Vazgen Safaryan.

Two students were awarded with prizes from 1st to 3rd grade according to the decision of jury. Despite the fact that representatives of different faculties were among the prizewinners, the students of the Faculty of Philology Ani-Hakob Nairyan and Ashot Gabrielyan took two prizes of 1st grade.

I traveled some 40 years ago in my mind, that bright and passionate period, when the students of the Faculty of Philology, who are the representatives of our modern literature now, were making their first steps. As if the University was slumbering for some time. I am sure that this Contest helped the University to overcome this apathy and this is a new start, - said the President of The Writers Union of the RA Levon Ananyan.

Diplomas and books were distributed among the winners as prizes, including the series of publications for the youth The Entry. Levon Ananyan ensured us that the best works of this Contest will be included in this series.

The Director of YSU Culture Center Karine Davtyan said that the club of young creators is going to start its activities very soon. Sargis Mkhitaryan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, will head this club.
