THE GREAT ASTRONOMER IN FOCUS AGAIN
Seven students will present their reports at the Student Conference, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Victor Hambardzumyan's birth.

YSU Student Scientific Society and faculties of Physics ad Radiophysics will hold this conference on 28.11.08-01.12.08, 2008.

Specialists from Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory are also invited to participate in this event. 

The solemn opening ceremony of this conference was organized in YSU Conference Hall today. Dean of YSU Faculty of Radiophysics Yuri Vardanyan, Professor from the Chair of Astrophysics Moushegh Ghazaryan and YSU SSS Chairman Karlen Khachatryan held opening speeches.

Mr. Vardanyan signified the initiative and suggested it must be continued. He is sure such events are called to keep eternally the memory of this personality, who has great contribution in the area of science.

A similar conference was organized by Your senior colleagues, lecturers, about a month ago. Dear students, this profession provides You with the opportunity to communicate with the endless Cosmos, as Physics is the Queen of sciences. Today You can develop Your scientific activities and never be disappointed of the obstacles, that appear on Your way. More, all these obstacles must give You additional power to go on with steady steps, - said Yuri Vardanyan.

The main topics of the conference are: The research of radio galaxies Z>1, Quark stars as new type super-dense celestial bodies.

Congratulating the participants, Karlen Khachatryan added: Such conferences prove once again that science does not die on our country, but develops. The example is the recent victory of our Kings of Chess.

By the way, participants of the conference will visit Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory on the 29th of November, attend lectures there and the closing of the conference is on the 1st of December. The participants will be awarded Certificates then.
