2008 IS SUMMARIZED
YSU Board Session, headed by the RA President, YSU Board President Serzh Sargsyan, was held in YSU Academic Council Hall today.

Four main issues were on the agenda: Rectors report on 2007-2008 Academic year, adoption of expenses and incomes of YSU 2008 (January-November), the adoption of draft of YSU Budget 2009, incomes and expenses included and the adoption of YSU 2009/2010-2013/2014 strategic development project points. 

Aram Simonyan particularly mentioned that all the activities were directed to the development of Alma Mater, increase of its role and rank in the area of educational structures both on internal and external levels, as well as to follow modern trends, preserving the traditions of native educational and scientific systems.

Having presented in details the report on YSU Budget 2008, Mr. Simonyan focused on the budget of coming year: expenses and incomes are 6,692,344.0 drams.

A serious discussion started on YSU 2009/2010-2013/2014 strategic development project points. The goal is to see what University must do to implement all projects effectively. The strategy is being worked out to estimate the corresponding resources, aims, issues and activities in general.

To call this project to life many discussions must be organized, but we must believe in what we do to realize the goals, - said President Serzh Sargsyan.

After the discussion of each of the issues on the agenda Board members confirmed the suggested points via unanimous ballot and estimated the realized job as satisfactory.

In the end President Serzh Sargsyan congratulated everybody on the occasion of coming New Year and Merry Christmas, wishing new victories and achievements, realization of goals and high mood.
