During the launch of the project, EU partner countries and three Armenian HEIs discussed with the representative of the RA Ministry of Education and Science the working packages and implementation directions of the project.
Particularly current master’s programs, structure and main directions of further joint educational programs were discussed with partner countries (Greece, Italy, Germany and Portugal).
Representatives of the European partner universities - Dresden Technical (Germany), Teramo (Italy) and Catholic University of Portugal, as well as representatives of Armenian educational institutions participated in the discussions.
Armenia was represented in Thessaloniki by the specialists of the Ministry of Education and Science, YSU Center for Excellence in Applied Biology, Armenian National Agrarian, Shirak State and Gavar State universities.
Rector of the host side, Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, made opening remarks. He presented the institute’s educational programs, highlighting the effective cooperation between the university, entrepreneurship sector and government, which is the guarantee of providing high level education process.
The parties also discussed the plan of actions for the next year, which includes both the timetable of the next working meetings, preliminary structure and directions of educational programs, which are an important prerequisite for the implementation of the project.
It should be noted that the representatives of the EU partner countries are expected to visit Armenian universities included in the program.
