The Distance learning laboratory was founded in 2005, thanks to the effective and long-term cooperation between the Faculty of Sociology and the Faculty of Health and Social Care of the Open University of Great Britain within the framework of the European joint project "TEMPUS".
The mission of the Distance Learning Laboratory is to ensure accessibility and continuity of education.
Since 2005, the Laboratory has been developing and implementing long-term and short-term programs of distance learning and hybrid learning in the following specialties and specializations:
Social work (one-year distance learning course),
Social pedagogy (one-year distance learning course),
Human resource management (one-year hybrid training course),
Public relations and marketing (one-year hybrid training course),
Psychology (one-year course of hybrid learning).
Short-term programs include "Coaching", "Marketing", "Stress Management", "Conflict Management", "Project Management", and "Time Management".
The Laboratory also conducts corporate training. Employees of "Viva-MTS", "World Vision Armenia", "Armenian Caritas", "Tufenkian" charitable foundation, "Mission Armenia" charitable NGO, and many other organizations were specifically trained in the Laboratory.
The Laboratory also developed and implemented one-year distance learning courses (in English) for foreign students.
