"LECTURER-SCIENTIST MUST CREATE AND IF HE/SHE DOESN'T WRITE, I'M INCLINED TO THINK THAT HE HAS NOTHING TO SAY TO THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY," TIGRAN SIMYAN

We talked to Mr. Simyan about his profession, the methods he uses, his favorite books and the characteristics of a writer.

“During my student years, I enjoyed the texts of Armenian, Russian and Western literature, and language subjects later became the basis for enriching the tools of literary research” he said.

Speaking about his methods, Mr. Simyan mentioned that during the class, when he presents literature of a European period, he tries first of all to make it a matrix of knowledge.

“We ask questions about the texts of the period, which are interesting for the students living in the modern stage” he said.

Mr. Simyan also mentioned his favorite books.

“At the moment I want to mention The Life of Gargantua and of Pantagruel, because this novel becomes metallic to understand the carnival in a person, which is currently in my interest”.

Speaking about scientific articles, Mr. Simyan mentioned that the lecturer-scientist must create, and if he does not write, Mr. Simyan is inclined to think that he has nothing to say to the scientific community. In this case, the teaching scientist becomes a teacher who does not meet the requirements of the scientist in modern times.

In the end, Mr. Simyan advised to use the university years as effectively as possible, the students should focus on their studies, gain knowledge, master their profession. Soberly plan what to do and do what works best for them, not what they love.
