1	Where is YSU STEM School located?	Until 2025, the school will operate in the YSU sports complex building. Starting from 2025, the school will be located at Kievyan Street 1a - in the YSU educational building.
2	What departments does the school include?	At the school education is carried out in two directions: STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and social science (humanities). Within the framework of the "YSU Schools Network" educational program, YSU teaching staff developed author educational programs for the following subjects: "Mathematics", "Physics", "Chemistry", "Biology", "English" (STEM), "English" (social science), "Armenian Language". Other subjects are taught in accordance with the sample state subject programs.
3	Who has the opportunity to enter the school?	Every student who completes the 9th grade in the given academic year has the right to enter the school.
4	What privileges and opportunities does the school provide?	The school provides the opportunity to get a quality and competitive education, as well as the necessary knowledge to pass the entrance exams later.
5	What knowledge verification mechanism will be used for the school admission?	Admission to YSU STEM School is carried out in two stages: written and oral.
6	Who will teach in the school?	The teaching staff of the school mainly includes YSU lecturers, most of whom also have experience in working with pupils.
7	Do foreigners have a chance to apply?	Foreign citizens have the opportunity to apply according to the procedure established by RA Legislation. Regardless of citizenship, knowledge of Armenian is mandatory, as Armenian is the main language of instruction at the school.
8	What type of assessment system will be applied?	At the end of each year, the student passes transfer/final exams (the examination procedure and type depend on the subject). The student is transferred to the next grade if he/she scores 50% or more in each exam.
9	What kind of workload will be set according to the class schedule? (daily, weekly)?	The academic week at the school is 5 days, each day with 6-7 academic hours.
10	How many minutes will the lesson last?	One academic lesson lasts 45 minutes.
11	Will the school operate in shifts or will both students and pupils have classes at the same time?	The school runs in one shift, the main classes start at 09:30 a.m. and end at 03:40 p.m. School classes are held in separate classrooms and in a detached building.
12	What opportunities will students have to apply theoretical knowledge in practice (in faculties, partner organizations and elsewhere)?	The school will always be in direct contact with other YSU divisions in all directions, including within the framework of the organized events, if they are part of the school's programs.
13	What certificate will be given to the students after graduation?	After completing the education, students who studied within the framework of the educational program "YSU Schools Network" receive the following documents: 1. Academic certificate of the state sample prescribed by the relevant state legal order, 2. Graduation certificate (diploma) of the educational program "YSU School Network".
14	After graduating from school, what exams do students have to pass to enter university?	All graduates of the school participate in university entrance exams on general provisions.
15	What additional courses are there in the school?	There are extracurricular activities in the school. Educational groups - "Artificial Intelligence" and Olympic groups according to subjects (optional), Cultural and sports groups (according to students' preference). Participation in all groups is free.
