On December 10, 2024, a panel discussion titled "Skills of the Future: Soft Skills, Personal Branding, Networking" was held for YSU students. This initiative was part of the cooperation between YSU Alumni and Career Center and Campus NEC.
The panel discussion was led by Liana Petrosyan, a representative of Campus NEC. Other speakers included industry specialists and employers Hayk Kocharov, Rosa Solomonyan, and Vruyr Oganyan, who shared valuable information on the topic and advice for successful professional activities.
The session began with an introduction to the activities of Campus NEC and its vision for cooperation with YSU. Following this, students had the opportunity to ask questions via a QR code displayed on the screen.
The discussion emphasized the importance of soft skills from an employer's perspective, touching on key topics such as the role of digitalization, the balance between interpersonal communication, the impact of social media on personal branding, and the opportunities offered through effective networking.
During the question-and-answer session, the participants of the meeting expressed their opinions on how to present themselves appropriately to the employer and how to demonstrate their expertise in the labor market.
Additionally, students were invited to join an online session focused on improving resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and personal branding.
At the end of the event, Rosa Solomonyan, Executive Director of the Apaga Charitable Foundation, presented the "From Education to Work: 1 Step" initiative. This program offers 4th-year students the chance to participate in courses, gain professional experience, and benefit from tuition reimbursement opportunities.
