As part of the collaboration between YSU Alumni and Career Center and the biotechnology company BostonGene, a meeting was organized to mark the launch of the "Molecular and Precision Oncology" educational program.
The event brought together students and graduates from YSU Faculty of Biology and the Institute of Pharmacy. During the meeting, participants were introduced to the company’s core activities, values, and the advantages of working at BostonGene. The essential skills and competencies required for employment within the company were also highlighted.
Speakers presented detailed information about the educational program organized by BostonGene, offering students a comprehensive overview of the course. The lectures within the program will be delivered by leading specialists from the company’s Precision Oncology Department.
The curriculum will cover a range of key topics, including:
Molecular and cellular biology concepts currently applied in modern medicine,
Recent advancements in the field of personalized oncology,
Emerging and prospective directions in the sector,
Databases, informational resources, standards, and more relevant to individualized oncological data.
Upon completion of the course, students will be given the opportunity to pursue a career within the company.

After the event, students had the opportunity to engage with the speakers and ask questions of interest.
This initiative builds on the success of the previous year’s program, during which approximately 38 students and graduates participated. Of those, 23 received certificates for active engagement and successful completion of the course, and 7 participants were offered employment opportunities.
