Cross-cultural communication
The Cross-cultural communication (English, full-time) Bachelor's program aims to:
- Provide students with deep and comprehensive knowledge of theoretical and practical issues related to the field of cross-cultural communication,
- Develop students' practical professional abilities necessary for effective cross-cultural communication, applying English oral and written knowledge and skills in various communication situations, as well as in online communication,
- Equip students with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills that contribute to effective communication to avoid cross-cultural conflicts and find ways to solve them,
- Promote students' abilities to conduct independent scientific research on theoretical and practical issues of English and cross-cultural communication.
Upon completing the "Intercultural Communication-English" program, the student will be able to:
- Perform analysis of linguistic, cultural, and literary problems of different types of English texts,
- Conduct thematic conversations and dialogues, building an oral speech free of grammatical errors, to demonstrate the proper skills of listening, understanding, and reproducing speech in a foreign language,
- Perform translations from English to Armenian and vice versa, applying the principle of interaction between language and culture,
- Discuss the features of advertising discourse and create content (advertising and informational) written speech using online and written communication methods,
- Apply the acquired language knowledge and English written and oral speech skills in practice in various situations of cross-cultural communication effectively,
- Use the optimal method of cross-cultural communication to communicate with representatives of other cultures,
- Apply language knowledge of a second foreign language (German, French, Spanish, and Italian) as well as oral and written communication skills in various areas of communication.
Graduates of the program work in international departments and foreign relations departments of various ministries, organizations, banks, interstate enterprises and international organizations, public and private organizations, and offices operating in the field of advertising, public relations, tourism, Internet and innovation technologies, the United States and the UK Embassies, RA representations abroad, English teaching centers, and RA schools.
At the end of the studies, the graduates of the educational program are granted the qualification of Bachelor of Linguistics.
