On November 12, 2024, YSU Library after Sarkis and Marie Izmirlian, hosted an international scientific-methodical round table on the topic "Teaching the Key Directions of the Modern Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation in Armenian Universities".
The meeting was initiated by the Center for Russian Studies, operating under YSU Faculty of International Relations, the National Research Institute of Communications Development (Moscow), and the Center for Strategic and International Studies, operating under the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. During the round table, led by PhD, Associate Professor Aram Safaryan, Head of the Center for Russian Studies, the speakers discussed the general state of teaching the main and fundamental issues of Russia's modern foreign policy. The attendees listened with interest to the reports of the Deputy Director of the National Research Institute of Communications Development, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Valentina Komleva, and the Deputy Head of the Department of Strategic Communications and Public Administration of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, PhD, Associate Professor Lydia Sidorova.
Active discussions revolved, views and opinions aimed at deepening Armenian-Russian relations were put forward. It is noteworthy that, along with scientists and well-known experts in the republic, bachelor’s and master’s students from the Faculty of International Relations also participated in the round table.
