Assessment of the resource value of edible and medicinal Agaricomycetes mushrooms growing in Armenia for their biotechnological and biomedical application

The proposed project is addressing the fundamental and applied problems. The fundamental task is related to taxonomic and ecological analysis of the mycobiota of Agaricomycetes mushrooms growing in Armenia, replenishment of the list of species, the collections of herbarium of basidiomes and mycelial cultures and the databases in order to assess and preserve their bioresources. The applied problem is related to the study of the pharmacological, nutritional, agricultural and cosmetic values of perspective species/strains of edible and medicinal Agaricomycetes mushrooms for their further biotechnological and biomedical application.
