General information
The project is aimed at the synthesis and investigation of conjugated polymers containing different proportions of quinonediimine and arylenediamine units with enhanced solubility and thermostability, as a materials which can enwiden the range of polyaniline applications due to enhanced processability. Based on our advantages in the field of electroactive polymers and bearing in the mind the standpoint that incorporation of substituents in polymers’ main chain increase it’s solubility, and the presence of quinonediamine blocks–thermostability, three methods will be employed: oxidative copolymerization of para substituted aromatic diamines with substituted anilines, the reduction of totally oxidized. Only quinonediamine group containing polymers with reduction agents with low nucleophilicity(diethylhydroxylamine ethyl hydroxylamine, morpholine and vitamin C), and thermo polymerization of some substituted and unsubstituted diamines and their salts. Aiming to obtain polymers with target properties different molar ratio of comonomers in initial reaction mixture, prestine polymer-reducting agent molar ratios, temperature and reaction time, will be used. Obtained copolymers with good filmforming properties will expand PANi application possibilities.
