General information
The aim of the project is to comprehensively study of the Azerbaijani Kurds and the formation, existence and abolition of the Distric, later Region of Kurdistan, then in the professional literature known as “Red Kurdistan”, formed in 1923-30 in the areas of Karvachar, Kashatagh-Berdzor, Vorotan and some adjacent territories, taking into account the situation after the Second Artsakh War. It is topical to correctly understand and analyze the ethno-political processes taking place in the territory of Azerbaijan with the participation of the Iranian people stock and also the issue of the frontiers of the “Red Kurdistan" territory after the Second Artsakh War, the border problems of the RA and the political reasons for the formation of the region’s ethnic composition. It is aimed at carrying out a research also with short, medium and long-term applied proposals on a theoretical basis which will include the creation of a scale of ethnopolitical passionarity of Kurds in terms of the security interests of the RA, clarification of the methodology for its assessment, determination of the principles of predictability of ongoing processes with the participation of Kurds in Azerbaijan, as well as identifying the problem of "Red Kurdistan" and its investigation in a new way.
